Mainstay mobile phone not sold, HTC Revenues Declining

Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer, HTC, on Monday (06/08/2012) yesterday reported a revenue decline year-over-year for July by 45 percent. HTC July last year posted revenue of 45.11 billion Taiwan dollars, the same month this year only 25 billion Taiwan dollars.

The decrease in revenue was allegedly caused by low demand for smartphone line "One" is a mainstay of HTC.

HTC profits fell nearly 60 percent in the second quarter of this year, according to a report published HTC in early July.

Last week, HTC has also announced that this downward trend will continue in line with the rising popularity of Samsung Galaxy S III is a rival HTC products.

The launch of the fifth generation of the Apple iPhone is scheduled for next September is expected to further worsen the situation.
