Goodbye Adobe Flash Player for Android

Software maker Adobe Systems has attracted the Adobe Flash Player for Google Android application store Play, on Wednesday (15/08/2012). With this, Android users can no longer download the Flash Player officially.

Android users who have installed Flash Player on his smartphone, it can store and occasionally will get a security patch updates.

If a user's Android operating system update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, Adobe recommends to uninstall Flash Player. Instead, Adobe offers Adobe AIR with Adobe Access feature support DRM.

Adobe claims, AIR offers the same features with the Flash Player to support video playback of Android device browser. AIR can be used for the operating system Android 2.2 Froyo and above.

Android application developers who had to rely on Adobe Flash still can access the archive Flash Player can be downloaded at this link.

The presence of HTML5 web technologies, indirectly shifting the role of Flash Player. Plans to discontinue development of Adobe Flash Player for Android, announced in November 2011, after Google announced the Android 4.0 operating system Ice Cream Sandwich.

Will focus on developing Adobe Flash Player for personal computers (PCs).
