| Hampus Jakobsson |
"I'm an actor startup," Jakobsson wrote on his Twitter account on Wednesday (08/01/2012). "If I really like a company and the people in the neighborhood, I felt it was time to start another one."
Jakobsson is the person who founded the company pioneering digital (startup) The Astonishing Tribe (TAT), which was later acquired RIM in 2010. Since then, Jakobsson work for RIM and most recently served as director of strategic alliances.
Jakobsson and a team of TAT had a big role designing the user interface (UI-user interface) BlackBerry operating system 10.
Jakobsson's departure from RIM was considered inappropriate. Because, this Canadian company is busy developing the BlackBerry operating system 10, not to mention display interface, which will be released in the first quarter of 2013.
However, RIM said the company will be fine even though there was no Jakobsson.
"Tim BlackBerry user interface 10 consists of a lot of people from TAT, as well as other employees around the world, BlackBerry 10 will stay the course and was released in the first quarter of 2012," RIM said in a statement responding to the resignation of Jakobsson, as quoted by AllThingsD.
