In Japan, Samsung Declared Not Violate Apple Patents

Samsung was found guilty by a jury court within the United States, for violating several patents Apple. But in Japan, Samsung declared not infringe patents owned by Apple.

Judge Tamotsu Shoji of the Tokyo District Court, rejecting Apple's patent lawsuit, saying Samsung did not infringe the patent technology of mobile devices and synchronize Apple's computers.

"We welcome the court's decision, stating our products do not infringe Apple's intellectual property," Samsung said in a statement the court responded Tokyo, Friday (08/31/2012).

In the U.S., the Federal Court Jury San Jose, California, assessing Samsung violated Apple's patents 6 of 7. The decision was issued jury on Friday (24/08/2012).

The jury also asked Samsung to pay a fine of U.S. $ 1051 billion (approximately USD 9 billion). However, the jury's decision is not "knock the hammer" by Judge Lucy Koh, who presided at the trial.

In a statement, Samsung said the decision was a defeat for the U.S. consumer. According to Samsung, this decision could potentially push prices smart communication devices (smartphones and tablets) become more expensive because less product variation.

Hearing Apple vs Samsung in the U.S. continues on 20 September and 6 December. Samsung will appeal, while Apple will ask the court to block the sale of Samsung products in the U.S..
