Software Companies Microsoft introduced a new logo design company on Thursday (23/08/2012). This is the fifth time Microsoft to redesign the logo since the company was founded in 1975 by Bill Gates and Paul Allen.
Professor of marketing at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, Barbara Kahn, argued, the brand logo is communication. A logo clearly requires a characteristic that can be identified with the brand, as well as the consistent use over time.
Every time you make a logo redesign, Microsoft always change significantly, and was trying to remove the old logo design entirely.
Told the news portal of The Seattle Times, Microsoft's General Manager of Brand Strategy Jeff Hansen commented on Microsoft logos in the past and their influence. Here is the Microsoft logo design evolution:
1. The first Microsoft Logo (1975 - 1979)

2. Both Microsoft Logo (1980 - 1981)

3. Third Microsoft Logo (1982 - 1986)
