Twitter, the popular microblogging service provider, has joined as a member of the Linux Foundation. Trying to win the hearts of developers?

As reported TheRegister, Twitter has poured funds 15 thousand dollars for a Silver Member at the Linux Foundation. In fact, Twitter will be one of the speakers at the annual conference of the LinuxCon San Diego.

Twitter said the decision was taken to join because they feel they have a lot of benefits of open source technology.

On the other hand, membership in the Linux Foundation Twitter to attract sympathy from the developer. Moreover, recently Twitter is considered difficult for developers to change the Application Programming Interface (API) them.

Changes that include asking any third party application OAuth authenticate each time you make the request to the API. In addition, Twitter impose limits on the request.
