Now, through an open source application, the Start Menu was said to have returned. TheRegister reported on Thursday (08/22/2012).
The application called Classic Shell. Available for free at SourceForge, this application has been tested by TheRegister on Windows 8 RTM version.
Once installed, this application gives the option types that can use the Start Menu. Starting from Windows Classic, Windows XP and Windows Vista / Windows 7.
Still not enough? This application can also create a Windows 8 start without activating the "Metro" at all and disable "active corners" - which is usually used to run the "Metro".
The author does not guarantee the application will run on all versions of Windows 8, including the final version which will be launched some time yet.
However, this application is worth a try for those who are not familiar, or even do not like, with a new look in Windows 8.
