Twitter Ask Users To Replace "Password", What?

Twitter did the reset password user accounts without prior confirmation, which originally claimed as an effort to improve security, Thursday (08/11/2012) U.S. time.

However, it turns out Twitter stating that the password reset attempt is unintentional mistake and should not have happened.

This negligence occurs when they perform routine safety checks to identify problems or suspected accounts.

Several Twitter users reported having sent an e-mail containing the command to change their account passwords.

For some people who got e-mail from Twitter, disappointed with the move because Twitter does not give information first.

"We apologize for any inconvenience or confusion experienced by users," Twitter wrote in a statement.

Twitter spokeswoman Carolyn Penner declined to give the number of accounts has been reset his password. He said there was no breach of security in the event. Indeed, this should be an effort to Twitter to improve security.

So, if you got an e-mail from Twitter on Thursday or Friday
(8 or 9 November 2012), you should not take it seriously because it's not theft of passwords.

The e-mail contains a link that takes you to a new page, where you are prompted to create a new password. You were not instructed to enter your old password, you just ordered to enter the new password twice.
