Operating system and the BlackBerry 10 to be released Research In Motion (RIM) in early 2013. Analyst James Faucette of Pacific Crest research institute predicted, the charm will be lost before the BlackBerry 10 RIM release.
"We see a BlackBerry 10 may be dead before arrival (dead on arrival / DOA)," said James Faucette as quoted by Bloomberg, on Thursday (08/11/2012). He predicted BlackBerry 10 will eventually fail.
Faucette continued, RIM will struggle to woo consumers to want to buy a BlackBerry device user interface 10 with a different, incompatible technologies, and the limited number of applications.
BlackBerry 10 is the operating system RIM hopes to compete with Apple iOS, Google Android and Microsoft Windows Phone.
Currently, BlackBerry 10 is being tested by 50 companies mobile operators in several countries, including Indonesia. In mid-October, RIM CEO Thorsten Heins with other officials visited Indonesia to cooperate with mobile operators.
Initially, the Canadian company is delaying the launch of BlackBerry 10 to the end of 2012. After that, RIM announced a further delay until early 2013. This delay gives room for Apple and Android to increasingly dominate the global smartphone market.
In November 2011, analyst Ian Fogg from the research institute IHS once said, RIM has a track record of frequent postponement of the launch date of their products. "That's not a good sign. We will see a slow decline," said Fogg commemorate RIM.
