"165 Terabyte" Map Ready to Complete Bing Maps

Not wanting to miss from Google and Apple are being reported around the crowded homemade map software, Microsoft announced the addition of satellite images of high resolution for Bing Maps service, on Monday (6/25/2012).



A collection of images of various locations on the Earth's satellite camera catches and totaled 165 aircraft Terabyte (TB), is greater than the number of satellite photographs of previous Bing Maps for 129 TB.

The areas covered in the update image Bing Maps include North America, South America, Africa, Australia, Europe, and Asia. Total floor area were photographed nearly 38 million square kilometers.

This new map can be viewed from here.

This month, the total or 100 percent of the territory of the United States has taken the picture by Bing Imagery Technologies. European region photographed is scheduled for completion in the third quarter of this year. According to Microsoft, all new pictures will be published in full in the next month.

With this new collection of images, Bing service users can expect to see aerial photographs of high quality, wherever they find in Bing Maps.

"Of equal importance," says Microsoft, the owner of Bing, "is the user can obtain the photographs most actual from all locations."
