Here you can find anything related to the anime: action figure, Nendoroid, CD / DVDs, posters, comics / novels are hard to come by elsewhere. Want to complete the collection? Find rare items? here the place ..
Maid Cafe. In maid cafes, cosplaying as maid servants and serving customers while acting cute. Do not worry if you can not speak Japanese. There are some maid cafe that provides English-speaking maid, for example @ Home Cafe.
AKB48 Theater. Akihabara is also the home of the idol group AKB48! Their theater located on the 8th floor of Don Quijote building. Every day they held a show there. You can see it by paying 3000 yen.
Cosplay. also know as haven of otaku, cosplayers are definitely a lot hanging out in Akihabara. If you want to see people cosplaying, came to Akihabara on weekends. Although not as much in Harajuku, cosplayer-cosplayer can still be found in the Akihabara.
Shopping tips:
If you find the product you are looking for in a store, do not be bought. Try to round-the-round first. It could be another shop selling a cheaper price. But if you do not know the price, better buy at the big stores like Mandarake to prevent fraud.
