Hewlett-Packard (HP) talk a lot about Android. The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Meg Whitman talks about the focus of the company's latest Android product in a conference.
Quoted from Cnet, Thursday (05/23/2013), Whitman spoke more about the company than the Android prduk about Windows 8 during the conference. Whitman's statement suggests there is new interest in HP's new operating systems, including Android.
"Using multiple operating systems, multiple architectures, and a variety of form factors, we move quickly to product the required consumer devices," said Whitman.
Then he went on to talk about Android devices that Slatebook x2 HP. "After our first Chromebook launch in February, we launched the Slate 7 in the second quarter. Marks the beginning of an interest in encouraging Slate 7. Then also there SlateBook x2 hybrid which is the first Android device with Nvidia Tegra mobile processor 4," he explained.
At the same time, Whitman also spoke about the Personal Computer (PC) and the importance of Android. "On the PC, if we have the right product at the right price, the channel will still love HP. And frankly, have Android products is helpful. Slate USD169 for helping us have a market segment that previously we did not have" said Whitman.
